Yamunotri Gangotri Yatra is a unique piece of Chardham Yatra which is sited in the lap of Uttarakhand. The tour of Yamunotri Gangotri Yatra is the tour of Hindu Pilgrimage Yamunotri and Gangotri.
The holy pilgrimage place of Yamunotri, basis of the tributary Yamuna, is the picturesque temple in the Garhwal Himalayas, floating atop a border of Bandar Poonch Parvat. The main attraction at Yamunotri is the holy place dedicated to deity Yamuna and the divine thermal springs at Jankichatti.
The respected holy place of Gangotri Dham, located at a height of 3,200 mts. on sea-level in the mildest of sylvan environs, makes up one of the central pilgrimages for the religious Hindu. Gangotri, famous for Ganga Ji is originated from the places of Goumukh. The water of Gangotri is invoked by Bhagirath and placed in the hair of the lord Shiva. Thus the Yamunotri Gangotri Yatra is the mixture of the tour of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham.
Duration: 6 Nights / 7 Days
Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar (210 Kms, 6 Hours approx) - :
Arrive in Delhi, meet and greet with our representative then drive to Haridwar, on arrival in Haridwar check-in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening we will take you Har-Ki-Pouri for aarti darshan, after aarti darshan back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Haridwar – Barkot (205 Kms, 6 Hours approx) - :
Morning, after breakfast check-out from the hotel and then drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. On arrival check-in hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri - Barkot (42 Kms & 5 Kms Trek) Each side - :
Early morning (4:00 AM) drive to Jankichatti (42 KMS), start 5 kms trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli or by horse at own cost. On arrival at Yamunotri take bath in hot Jamunabai Kund then go for temple darshan, after having temple darshan you can also cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice back to home as "Prasad". After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi (95Kms, 4 Hours Approx) - :
Morning (9:00 AM) after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Uttarkashi. enroute visit Praketswar Mahadev. On arrival check-in hotel, in evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi –Viswnath at Uttarkashi and then back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Uttarkashi- Gangotri- Uttarkashi (100 Kms) each side - :
Early morning (5:00 AM) drive to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, it’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for temple darshan, after temple darshan drive back to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.
Day 6: Uttarkashi- Rishikesh (180 Kms, 4 Hours Approx) - :
Morning (9:00 AM) after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check-in hotel at Rishikesh, take some rest and then go for sightseeing of Rishikesh city. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Raghunath temple and Geeta Bhavan. In evening take part in evening aarti perfumed at Triveni Ghat. After aarti darshan back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7: Rishikesh – Delhi (230 Kms, 7 Hours Approx) - :
Morning (9:00) after breakfast drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, transfer to airport/railway station to catch the flight/train for onward destination.
